I came to Faith in Fall 2022. Actually, it would be more accurate to say I returned to Faith, as I grew up in this church and God called me back here after a brief time away at college. I majored in Elementary Education and spent a year working as part of a Youth Ministry Team, but then God surprised me with a trip into worship ministry. It’s been a fun ride thus far and I love seeing how God works in people through worship. I also have a very organized, logical brain, so I also enjoy the communications aspect of my job because I get to help bring a bit more order to our chaos.
I’ve been following after Jesus longer than I can remember, as God captured my heart from the time I was a young child. However, it wasn’t until late high school and college that I began the process of solidifying my own faith and discovering how to have an intimate relationship with my Savior. I worked at Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camps (IOLBC) for 6 summers, and during this time I grew in my love for the Lord while also strengthening my campers in their faith.
When I’m not at church, you might find me putting together a puzzle, snuggling with my cat, or going on a bike ride. I also enjoy relaxing in my hammock or snuggling under blankets (as the seasons may dictate) while reading a book.
An unconventional fact: I have been known to get stuck in a nearly perfect British accent, but on most days I unfortunately only have a sorry imitation of such an elegant way of speaking.
